The Lund Community Society is hiring a Part-Time Program and Facilities Administrator! Take a look at the job posting below for more information.
Part-time Program & Facility Administrator
Overview:
Lund's a small place with a big heart, and the Northside Community Recreation Centre (NCRC) is where a lot of that spirit shows up: kids' programs, rentals, drop-ins, events, the works. We're looking for a Program and Facility Administrator who genuinely likes people and paperwork in roughly equal measure, and who wants to be the friendly, steady presence that keeps the doors open and the calendar humming.
What You'll Be Doing
-
Being the friendly voice (and inbox) for anything related to the facility, programs, and projects, by phone or email.
-
Running the facility bookings and calendar, online and on paper, and keeping our website, socials and email lists current for programs and events.
-
Passing maintenance needs along to our building maintenance folks.
-
Being on-site during work hours, doors open and lights on.
-
Keeping an eye on things while the Centre's in use, including being responsible for weight room drop-ins during your paid hours.
-
Staying on top of our lease with the qathet Regional District (qRD), including the annual fee report, so nothing sneaks up on us.
-
Dreaming up and coordinating a good mix of programming for the Community Centre.
-
Working with facilitators, coaches, and event planners so everyone's clear on protocols and the policy and liability boxes are checked.
-
Willing to assist in identifying and applying for funding opportunities.
-
Reporting to the Society Board and attending meetings as needed.
The Successful Person Will Be
-
Comfortable managing administrative details and engaging directly with the community.
-
Organized and dependable, with the flexibility to be on-site during regular work hours.
-
Technically savvy, from Google Suite to social media, websites and booking systems. Don’t worry, you’ll get training in this.
-
Comfortable being the responsible adult on-site, including for supervised drop-in activities.
-
Able to work with facilitators, coaches, and event planners, and keep on top of policy and liability requirements.
-
Able to gather data and information and assist with writing grants.
-
Comfortable working with, and reporting to, a volunteer Board.
-
Taking on further training over time to grow into this role and support the Society more broadly.
-
Curious and naturally always looking for new ways to improve administration, systems and communications.
